SOUR CREAM SHORTCRUST PASTRY 445G

ALL NATURAL NO PRESERVATIVES NO ADDITIVES

Strictly speaking this is a shortcrust pastry; however, it has been known to fool some into thinking it's a rough puff due to it's amazingly gorgeous flaky texture.

Made with 20% sour cream and 34% unsalted butter, sour cream shortcrust pastry can be used in place of a traditional shortcrust pastry. It is incredibly versitle and can be used for both sweet and savoury dishes.

Each 445g box contains one sheet of ready rolled pastry approx. 500mm x 250mm x 2.5mm.

Sour cream shortcrust pastry can be used for:

  • Savoury or sweet tarts 
  • Pie base
  • Pie top
  • Sweet or savoury turnovers (ideal for finger food)
  • Savoury straws or sausage rolls
  • Pasties
  • Fruit pies
  • Galettes

TIP
Save any pastry trim, wrap in clingwrap and place in refrigerator for 30 minutes, roll out and use for savoury straws. We suggest you only re-roll the sour cream pastry once to avoid shrinkage during baking.
